Is an EP radiator guard really necessary? Absolutely, 100% yes. An EP radiator guard kit protects the large Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory radiator from damage caused by road debris while allowing cooling air to pass through. The Aprilia radiator is made up of delicate cooling fins and inner cores - these fins bend easily and block the passage of air, which can cause the engine to overheat. In addition, the inner cores can be punctured by foreign objects, such as a stone. This is usually the result of foreign bodies being picked up by the front tyre of the motorbike and thrown directly into the radiator. Not only does this cause the engine to overheat, but it also causes the coolant to slip onto the tyres and affect grip.
