What is the reason for fitting an EP radiator guard?
The radiator guard protects the radiator of the Honda CBR650R from damage caused by road dirt and at the same time allows the all-important cooling air to pass through. The radiator's cooling fins are easily bent and misaligned fins can obstruct the cooling air, which can lead to overheating. The inner coolant carrying cores of the radiator are also susceptible to punctures from stones etc. as they are picked up by the front tyre and thrown directly into this expensive component. Leaking coolant can render the motorbike unusable due to overheating, which in turn can lead to engine damage. Coolant can also leak onto the tyres and lead to a loss of grip.

If you fit it yourself, please make sure that your motorbike is secure and that the product is only intended for your motorbike. The models for which the product is tested and intended can be found with each item.
To avoid damage to your motorbike during installation, we recommend covering all important/sensitive parts.
When fitting, use threadlocker if possible and observe the torque specifications.
There is no ABE/parts certificate for Evotech Performance accessories. If you have any concerns, you should refrain from buying them. In some cases, bolts for fastening must be replaced with the original bolts. Legally, this could be a problem. We would like to point this out.
