KTM 790 Duke / 890 Duke Crash Protector Set by Evotech Italy
The new anti-shock crash pads from Evotech Italy have been designed and manufactured with the aim of absorbing the impact in the event of a fall.
This means that the impact is absorbed by the slider and does not act directly on the frame.
In the event of a fall, the slider is pressed onto a specially designed spacer with an increasing diameter.
This causes the slider to deform, reducing the energy caused by the impact.
Tests conducted both in laboratory conditions and on the road showed a significant decrease in the load transferred to the frame compared to standard crash pads.
The slider of the crash pad is made of a plastic compound containing glass fibre. It combines high shock absorption and abrasion resistance with low friction on the asphalt. In this way, the pad slides on the asphalt without excessive wear or dangerous blocking.
The aerodynamic shape of the crash pad not only gives the motorbike a more aggressive look, but also reduces the possibility of the slider catching on an obstacle on impact.
The plastic pads are also engraved with a graduated scale that gives an indication of impact resistance in the event of a crash.
The main part of the crash pad is made of aircraft-grade billet aluminium and is finished in a black anodised coating for long life.
Both the diameter and cross-section are intricately calculated to further reduce the stress on the frame in the event of a crash.

We recommend that you always consult a specialist workshop when fitting our products or have this work carried out by a specialist. If you fit it yourself, please make sure that your motorbike is secure and that the product is only intended for your motorbike. The models for which the product is tested and intended can be found with each item.
To avoid damage to your motorbike during installation, we recommend covering all important/sensitive parts.
When fitting, use threadlocker if possible and observe the torque specifications. The fixing screws on the licence plate holder in particular should be secured with threadlocker. Loss of the licence plate holder due to lost screws can cause unpleasant damage.
