What is the spindle coil crash protection?
The Evotech Performance Axle Protectors for the Ducati DesertX protect the front spindle, lower front fork and brake calipers. They are unobtrusive yet sturdy. The black coils sit on either side of the front wheel spindle and are held in place by a rolled thread spindle rod. The tough materials of injection-moulded nylon and aluminium hope to be the first to receive an impact in the event of an accident. In addition, the nylon outer rings can twist in the event of an impact to reduce stress and wear on the wheel.
