Why would I need an EP Crash Protection / Light Mounting Kit?

EP Crash Protection is just one of the many protective accessories manufactured by Evotech Performance and is a proven product to reduce the severity of impact to the ground. The EP Crash Protection for MY20 S 1000 XR (K69) is a bespoke product and uses the original mounting points on the chassis - no chassis modifications are required. S 1000 XR owners who wish to use the original BMW Motorrad *accessory lighting can mount it directly to the EP crash protector and have the best of both worlds - EP crash protection and a durable lighting platform.

If you fit it yourself, please make sure that your motorbike is secure and that the product is only intended for your motorbike. The models for which the product is tested and intended can be found with each item.
To avoid damage to your motorbike during installation, we recommend covering all important/sensitive parts.
When fitting, use threadlocker if possible and observe the torque specifications.
There is no ABE/parts certificate for Evotech Performance accessories. If you have any concerns, you should refrain from buying them. In some cases, bolts for fastening must be replaced with the original bolts. Legally, this could be a problem. We would like to point this out.
