General safety instructions for the product:
We recommend that you always consult a specialist workshop when installing our products or have this work carried out by a specialist. If you fit it yourself, please make sure that your motorbike is secure and that the product is only intended for your motorbike. The models for which the product is tested and intended can be found with each item.
To avoid damage to your motorbike during installation, we recommend covering all important / sensitive parts.
The licence plate holders are designed for a size of 180 x 200 mm.
If you mount a plate under the licence plate, make sure that it does not weigh more than 150 grams. We know of cases where 3 mm solid aluminium plates weighing 300 grams have been fitted. This is too much for the bracket. OUR plate weighs 150 grams
Please understand that we cannot accept any liability for consequential damage caused by incorrect installation.
When fitting, use threadlocker if possible and observe the torque specifications. The fixing screws on the licence plate holder in particular should be secured with threadlocker. Loss of the licence plate holder due to lost screws can cause unpleasant damage.
General torque specifications can be found HERE
Licence plate holders from Great Britain do not have an ABE. The licence plate light (if one is included in the scope of delivery) has an E approval mark. The indicator spacing is 180 mm. Suitable adapters are usually included to bring the indicator spacing to the legally required 180 mm. The legally required licence plate angle of 30 degrees cannot be complied with on all British licence plate holders, as they are mounted much further in the direction of travel and may come into contact with the tyre at 30 degrees. The angle of 30 degrees must be checked and adjusted on the vehicle. Take the suspension travel of the motorbike into account. If space is tight, we recommend fitting the narrower version of the rear reflector. We have also provided further information on TÜV/ABE HERE.
Information for our Austrian customers specifically for the type approval or registration of licence plate holders can be found HERE
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
For ecological reasons, we do not print out installation instructions or include them with the delivery.
Because of 1 x installation! We recommend (as we do the first time) to take the tablet or laptop with you to the workshop.
